Dr. Shaunee Wallace, is an associate professor, shares her experience of having Dr. Kortni Alston serve as a Keynote Speaker for the Black Lives Matter Summit at LaGuardia Community College. The event was co-sponsored by CUNY BMI and the Center for the Humanities.
The theme was Black Justice, Black Joy. Dr. Kortni kicked off the event by discussing her personal and professional experience of Black Joy and how positive psychology can be leveraged to help build resilience and well-being.
